What this is

My Auto Racer is a drag race simulator for real cars. Pick any two of 15,000 models, set the distance, the surface and the weather, and watch them run — a full standing start with a Christmas tree, 60 ft, 1/8 mile, 1/4 mile, trap speed and a rolling speed trace for each car.

Every time is simulated, not measured. Each car is modelled from its published kerb mass, rated power, drivetrain and gearing; the model then trims tyre grip and delivered power until the car reproduces its own published acceleration figures. Both cars run in identical conditions — dry asphalt, 20 °C, sea level, 1 ft rollout — which is what makes the comparison fair even though no single time is a timing slip.

Are the times on My Auto Racer real measured times?
No. They are produced by a physics simulation, not by a stopwatch at a drag strip. The simulation is calibrated against each car’s published acceleration figures, so it agrees with the manufacturer where the manufacturer has published a number, and interpolates between those points everywhere else.
What can I change about the race?
Distance (60 ft, 1/8 mile, 1/4 mile, standing kilometre, or a roll-on), surface grip from dry to wet, air temperature, altitude, headwind or tailwind, gradient, passenger load, and a rolling start.
Where does the car data come from?
Kerb mass, power, drivetrain and published acceleration figures come from accelerationtimes.com and cardata.wiki, both CC BY 4.0. Kerb mass is recorded as the DIN figure — the car with no driver — and the simulator adds a 75 kg driver of its own.
Does it cost anything?
No. It runs in the browser, there is no account, and there are no ads.
Can I reuse the figures?
Yes. The simulated figures — the times, the trap speeds and the power to weight derived from them — are published under CC BY 4.0: reuse them anywhere, including commercially, as long as you credit My Auto Racer with a link. That covers the figures only, not the simulator that produced them, the writing, or the 3D models. Please also say that the figures are simulated.

Before you race

Every time here is simulated, not measured. Each car is modelled from its published mass, rated power and drivetrain, then fitted to its own published acceleration figures. The numbers are estimates. A real car, on a real day, with real tyres and a real driver, will do something else — treat these as a fair comparison between two cars, not as a spec sheet.

Not affiliated with any manufacturer. Marques, model names and badges belong to their owners and appear here only to identify the cars.

Race on a track. Nothing on this site is an instruction, an encouragement, or advice about how to drive on a public road.

Cookies and analytics. A few things you choose are remembered in your own browser — your answer to this question, your units and the 3D or 2D view — and none of them identifies you. Units start from the country your connection appears to be in; our host works that out for the page and we don’t store it. Nothing else is kept unless you say yes below. If you do, we add a random ID and send anonymous usage events to Mixpanel in the EU: which cars get raced, over what distance, which comparison pages get read. No advertising, no third-party trackers, no data sold, and nothing that identifies you. Say no and the site works exactly the same.
